Jeffrey Fernbach
President
With over 30 years of experience in the homebuilding industry, Jeffrey Fernbach is a respected leader and visionary in residential development. He has earned a stellar reputation for setting trends in design and functionality throughout his career and is known for his commitment to business integrity. As President of Fernmoor, he leads a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to creating innovative living solutions across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. His leadership and dedication to excellence have been integral to shaping Fernmoor’s success and growth.
Jeffrey is a past recipient of the prestigious “Builder of the Year” honors from the New Jersey Shore Builders Association (NJSBA) in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the betterment of the community. He is also an organizer of Community State Bank in Teaneck, New Jersey, and serves as a Life Director of the NJSBA.
Stephen M. Kessler, Esq.
General Counsel
Stephen M. Kessler serves as General Counsel at Fernmoor, providing legal guidance and strategic advice to the executive team on a variety of real estate-related matters, such as corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, litigation, real estate transactions, zoning and land use, and liability and insurance. With his extensive legal expertise, Stephen ensures that Fernmoor operates in full compliance with all laws and regulations, while also mitigating risks and providing creative solutions to complex legal challenges.
Stephen believes that Fernmoor’s greatest strength lies in its ability to tackle complex, high-stakes real estate projects that many other firms would shy away from. By assembling a team comprised of experts in each field — from marketing and sales to management and construction — Fernmoor has the flexibility and innovation to take on sophisticated projects and find solutions where others might see obstacles.
Carol Smith-Gephart
Director Sales, Leasing and Marketing
Licensed NJ Real Estate Broker Carol Gephart is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Fernmoor. She leads all marketing efforts across corporate and community levels, while also overseeing the recruitment, coaching and management of the company’s sales, leasing and property management professionals.
Carol values Fernmoor’s collaborative company culture, where all team members’ opinions and ideas matter. She is proud to have witnessed and contributed toward the company’s growth over the past 10+ years and cites Fernmoor’s exceptional ability to adapt to and thrive in ever-changing market conditions as a key driver of success.
Sholom Kaver
Director of Operations FP Management
Sholom Kaver oversees both the operations for Fernmoor’s rental communities and the organization’s property management accounting department. One of his main focuses is discovering and implementing new programs and features to enhance tenant satisfaction at Fernmoor’s properties.
Sholom values Fernmoor’s collaborative, family-oriented environment, where all employees are encouraged to succeed. He takes great pride in representing Fernmoor and admires the company’s unwavering commitment to honesty and integrity, which is reflected in every aspect of the business. Hayley Fernbach
Director of Purchasing
As Director of Purchasing at Fernmoor, Hayley Fernbach collaborates with architects and the marketing team to design both interior and exterior layouts that are not only marketable, but also cost-efficient to construct. She works closely with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the desired product is delivered at the best possible value and is also responsible for establishing baseline budgets that guide future acquisition decisions.
Hayley has been with Fernmoor since day one. She appreciates the company’s close-knit, collaborative environment where everyone enjoys their work and supports each other — often going beyond their official duties. She is also proud of Fernmoor’s commitment to always doing what’s right, which she feels is respected by trade partners and team members alike.
Moishie Zicherman
Controller
Licensed CPA Moishie Zicherman is Fernmoor’s Controller, responsible for overseeing the accounting department and preparing key internal financial statements. Additionally, he plays a vital role in analyzing and underwriting new projects, and negotiates financing and insurance with the brokers that Fernmoor interacts with.
Moishie appreciates that his position at Fernmoor allows him to see the tangible impact of his accounting work — properties that are amazingly transformed into whole new communities. Among Fernmoor’s strongest traits, he notes, are the organization’s commitment to leading by example and providing everyone the freedom to be productive on their own.
